I just love alliteration, don’t you? A few months ago, we started keeping a gratitude journal. It’s in a basket on our kitchen table, ready for anyone to add their own bit of thankfulness, from the great to the seemingly mundane. We’ve added everything from sunsets at the beach, to feeling God’s peace, to pet bunnies (of which our girls have none, but hope to one day own).
There have been weeks when it didn’t get touched and it shows. When our hearts aren’t being turned back to thankfulness, we tend to get a little, shall we say, “grouchy”. We’re firing it back up today!
Some things we’re grateful for this week:
-Feeding the geese by the pond out back
-Being up before the sun (it’s an acquired taste)
-Pulling jackets out of storage
-Getting to watch my sister dive into adulthood
-Tiny pumpkins held carefully by tiny hands
-A husband who doesn’t snore (one of his many, many wonderful qualities)
What are you thankful for this week?
